Hypnotherapy helps to reset your brain pathways so that you can be the best version of you.

We all have an internal voice of reason and logic that knows what we need to do. Then we all also have that other voice that throws doubt on all courses of action, that sees impossible problems everywhere and wants to give up and just stay in bed, or break down and cry or blame events or other people in our life for the state of things. This part of our brain is not very good at solving problems or getting us out of trouble. It loves doing old patterns of behaviour that aren't always helpful - reaching for that chocolate, screen time, taking the edge off with a glass of wine, I'm sure you already know some of your own patterns that you'd rather be without. These things aren't necessarily a problem in themselves but if we do them instead of great problem solving then the problem remains and we can get a bit stuck.

Hypnotherapy helps you to make the great problem solving voice the louder one, the one you listen to and work with most of the time. So you end up with good solutions to any issues that come up. You will feel in control, happy and calm. You will have a good understanding of how your mind works and what you can do to help yourself when challenges come up. You will understand your emotions better and know how to handle them. You will have great insight into how you can motivate yourself to reach your goals.

My Story

My personal history is littered with severe anxiety, a long term abusive relationship and a serious genetic condition that can affect multiple organs and often leads to vision loss. I have spent most of my life exploring different ways of coping and managing myself and have managed to get to the stage now where I am feeling on top of things. I have a relationship I am happy in, 3 great kids and a beautiful grand daughter, a career I love and am able to spend time on my passion of interacting with horses too. I consider myself very, very lucky to have met great teachers and therapists along the way that have helped and supported me to be able to get to where I want o be in life. I have a sense of control of myself, my interactions and my emotions that I never would have thought possible. I feel safe and secure in my own skin and know what to do when I get tipped off balance or get thrown a curve ball for the most part. My training in Alexander Technique and Hypnotherapy have been a massive part of that journey and I feel very privileged to have had the chance to learn the things I have. I have prioritised this learning above everything else as I believe that if we are healthy and well then  we make good choices, both for ourselves and the people we love, but also for our environment and the world we live in on a larger scale.
